Have you ever wondered what it takes to gather a massive following on Twitter?
Here’s what I came up with:
- You need to be one of the Marketing Gurus with a huge list. In this case, all that needed is a single email to your list saying that you have created a Twitter account and boom! You’ve got a Twitter army you can conquer Iran with…
- Another thing that can lead to a massive Twitter Following is time. It will take some time for you to bond with enough people on Twitter and to tweet enough value for them to recommend your info to their friends.
- There is, of course, a third option. You can start following people on Twitter like a maniac hoping they will follow you back. I call this thing the Twitter Effect and it works like this: you follow me-I’ll follow you. I’d say it happens around 40-50% of the time.
If you are brand new to marketing, or have been around for a while but still haven’t done much, then I would say that the option you would want to pick is the option number 3.

The problem with the Twitter Effect of course is that this way of gaining Twitter followers is quite time consuming and you can’t promise yourself that you will keep doing it every day. Good comparison of this situation I think, would be working out: Yes, it is a great way to stay in shape, but how long can you keep doing it? You will need a very strong sense of persistence and motivation. You can keep doing it for a while, but inevitable will happen-you will stop eventually.
That’s where Technology kicks in and rescues your ass, because there is an option number 4: Do what the option number 3 sais but on AUTOPILOT.
What I have showed you in the video is something that you will have to do consistently for at least 90 days in order to generate a Massive Following on Twitter. Great post! Twitter is an amazing marketing and communication tool. Used correctly, anyone can explode their business. Everyone seems to have a little different approach to using Twitter. I personally use TweetDeck, but like I said, we all use Twitter a little differently. Keep up the good work.

This is great information Igor! =) I found that using this technique you can build your list of followers real quickly. I know because I used this strategy too
I really like twitter karma, it’s a great tool to make space for your following list, until you can finally break the 2000 follower limit.
For example, you are following 2000 people, but you only have 1340 followers, you won’t be able to follow more until your followers list is close to 2000.
So if you’re still under the 2000 followers, twitter karma will help you get there by deleting non-followers.

I have several twitter accounts, all based around keywords. That way when I post, I know what those who follow me want to see from me. Some accounds build really quickly and some don’t, but I find USING the accounts are more effective when they are based around keywords.
