Importance of Pen and Paper
Today we get distracted very easily and tend to miss out on amazing thoughts and ideas throughout our busy lives.
I think it’s just plain sad because every single life and business success started with an IDEA which was written down on a piece of paper.
Now, understanding that, makes you think: how many times did you have an idea that you considered to be amazing and forgot or didn’t follow through with it. Just think of all the times you have missed your chance in becoming great or greater than you already are.
The process of actually writing stuff down before executing will make you to not only Remember to do whatever was that you’ve written down but also to trigger your mind to the direction of actually Doing It! There is a big, no let me rephrase that – HUGE difference between intending and actually doing something.
There is a law which states:
“If you haven’t taken any step towards a goal in the first 24-72 hours of considering accomplishing it, than there is a 90% chance that you won’t do it eventually”
From experience, you and I know that this Law states it DEAD ON! If you haven’t took an instant step towards your goal within the first 24 hours… scratch it – 24 MINUTES of actually thinking about it and deciding you want to accomplish it, than it will be oh so much harder for you to get yourself to do it later on.
A lesson to take away from this post is this: Make sure to at least write down your goals, thoughts and ideas in order to make sure you’re going to follow up on them. Always carry a pen and paper in your pocket, bag or even a sleeve if you have to.
This principle alone will not only make you far more focused, productive and efficient but will enable you to actually GET YOURSELF TO DO STUFF for a change! (Which is something more than 90% of people lack in their lives…)

I keep an idea book with me at all times. As John Medina states in his book, “brain rules,” we can only hold an avg. of 7 pieces of information at one time (e.g. numbers) Further, If we don't repeat something immediately we will forget it.
I've kept notebooks for years and it has been worth it.
