Internet’s Negative Effects On Business
Due to the HUGE mindset shift in the 21st century nearly every single business (apart from you local grocery store) turns over to the internet to seek expansion.
Internet’s effects on any business can go both ways: Positive or Negative, but those who are willing to educate themselves on how to prosper using the internet soon understand that the investment is “Oh So Worth It!”
Why Even Bother?
I could have spent 6 hours out of my day in order to research all the negative effects of the internet on business, but I just don’t see a need to… There are far too many Positive effects to choose from:
1. Unlimited Market Share. How much time would it take to a local furniture store go national or even worldwide? I’d say a good 10-15 years of steady business growth. But in the reality there aren’t many stores that exceed the neighborhood limits.
Internet uncovers a huge deal of possibility and market share to anyone who is willing to get familiar with it. You can target PPC campaigns using demographics, languages and areas of interest – Driving targeted, ready-to-buy traffic straight to your website. Or you can use SEO in order to attract people using a certain keyword phrase.
Internet is fully customizable and you get to choose your customers – not the other way around.
2. Low Start Up investment. If you were to start a business, you would have to deal with large start up costs, ending up asking for loans from the bank and risking sinking in a deep debt.
On the internet, however, you can start a business WITH NO START UP COST whatsoever. It still amazes me how simple it is now days to make money online. You just have to be willing to invest time and energy into it – money is no longer a mandatory start up resource.
3. Working From Home. Working from home beside your family members, watching your kids grow and not missing the first step, tooth or word – for me it is an amazing experience.
I had my share of “9 to 5” and one thing I always hated is to take the bus to work. It took me approximately an hour to get to work and then another one to get back home.
It was so damn frustrating working an 8 hour work day and spending 2 more hours in bus trips. Now, I can start working 5 minutes within waking up. All I need is my laptop and a cup of hot coco – I’m all set!
Those are just 3 basic off the top of my head reasons why I wouldn’t even consider not starting an internet business.
What’s Stopping YOU?
I can hear many of you screaming at me: “I don’t have any computer skills, bla, bla, bla,” Frankly, you don’t need any. You can hire people to do all the work for you while you enjoy your time or invest it in something you DO KNOW how to do – spending quality time with your family.
