TinyUrl, BudUrl and Bit.ly are just 3 out of hundreds of free URL shortening services available at your disposal. However, StumbleUpon’s latest invention sends all of those back to the Stone Age with a single click!

Su.pr is StumbleUpon’s newest and internet’s hottest URL shortening service. It is filled with great, simple-to-use tools in order to make your experience far more productive than it was with either of the old gizmos.

Until now, the best URL shortening service I can remember was bit.ly. Bit.ly’s core advantage was the fact that it allowed you to track the shortened URLs. You could find out exactly how many times your link got clicked on and by whom.

su.prStumbleUpon team realized that they had to Top that. And They DID!

As soon as I have started to use su.pr – my Twitter/Facebook traffic spiked. They had a very clever system installed and I believe it won’t be long before every major Social Media related service would follow Twitter and Facebook by integrating their API keys to grant them access to the databases.

Here’s a list of features and the resulting benefits the StumbleUpon’s URL shortening service provides.

1. Post Directly To Twitter And Facebook At The Same Time. Su.pr enables you to post directly to Twitter and Facebook at the same time. It takes 2 seconds to set up and you’re good to go.

2. Schedule Tweets. You can choose whether to post the tweets as soon as you hit “Enter” or to schedule your messages for later. No need in using external services like TweetLater. Saves a whole lot of time!

3. Track Clicks, Views and ReTweets. Similar to bit.ly, su.pr enables you to track how many clicks you’ve got with a certain link. However, su.pr also enables you to see how many times your message got retweeted – an option bit.ly doesn’t provide.

4. Track Stumbles. See how many stumbles your link got. Great function for those who are using StumbleUpon as a social bookmarking tool.

5. Shorten URLs On Your Own Domain. If you’re a blogger, this function can be useful. You can create SEO friendly, short URLs straight on your own domain. The service also enables you to create 301 redirects as easy as pie.

6. Su.pr Bar. Special StumbleUpon toolbar which is displayed whenever someone clicks on your su.pr link provides an opportunity to get more viral exposure.

StumbleUpon team has really outdone themselves and credit is due. I recommend this service to anyone who’s looking to get more Viral Traffic – something many internet marketers struggle to accomplish.

I’ve been using the Digg toolbar to try and generate more traffic while also increasing the number of diggs my posts gets, it’s working quite well. My traffic stats have gone up about 28% in the last two days, and also my email subscribers have nearly doubled so alot of new traffic is coming through.

I’ve been using Digg toolbar for a while now, but as soon as Digg removed the shout feature, my Digg traffic decreased. Maybe you can share some of your Digg traffic tips here on IgorHelpsYouSucceed? Check out the guest post page.

Su.pr is a very useful tool…and I love the graphs that show you the time of day that people are looking at what you post, so you can schedule future posts accordingly.

Can’t believe it’s free, too!
