Starting Monday, August 31st, 2009, TweetLater.com will be no more and will be known as SocialOomph.com.
Why the change?
According to Tweetlater:
“To date we have been focusing on providing productivity solutions for Twitter users. We decided to change our name to allow for future expansion into other social media solutions, and to ensure that our brand does not conflict with any current or future legal rights of the Twitter organization.”
The transition to the new name takes place over the weekend of August 29th and 30th.
Current Tweetlater users, you have no need to worry. The transition will not affect any personal data stored in your Tweetlater accounts.
SocialOomph will be focusing on boosting productivity across the social networks just like it did with Twitter. I believe in the future, SocialOomph is going to enable scheduled Facebook updates as well as Automated Facebook and YouTube personal message delivery systems.
But don’t get too excited, because it’s just a hunch of mine. I tend to be wrong from time to time.
