The “Double Optin vs Single Optin” argument is as old as my grandma’s radio. Some say it’s better to use Single Optin because often only about 50% of people confirm, which means you get half of the leads you actually generate.
Others agree that Double Optin is a smart move in a long run since response rates are much higher and there’s no way to get in trouble for SPAM, since the prospect has to double-confirm that he wants to be on your list.
During a recent list building event, Ryan Deiss shared an insight on the issue. He said that he always uses single optin, because at the end of the day-he makes more money that way.
