Imagine that you’re at war. You’re an army general and there’s a secret undercover agent working for you behind enemy lines sabotaging enemy’s attempts to take you down?

Your childhood beliefs about money serve a similar purpose. Only they work against you! They sabotage YOU and every attempt you make to attain wealth no matter how big or small.

Many of us were taught to have negative beliefs about money, beliefs that have hindered our ability to accept a greater flow of financial wealth into our lives. Usually it happens while we’re still young. Our mind is like a sponge, sucking every bit of information it can to form what we call a “belief system”.

Our beliefs about money govern our attitudes and expectations towards wealth and subconsciously sabotage our attempts at attaining it.

But it won’t do us any good if we just blame everything on our parents. They did the best they can, after all, their beliefs about money were formed the same way as yours and mine were-through observing what happens around us and making conclusions as we go.

The important question to ask here is whether you have ever considered that you have negative beliefs about money and what have you done to change those beliefs?

To help you find your negative convictions about money, here’s a list of 5 most common misconceptions about wealth that might unconsciously prevent you from getting rich.

1. Having Money Creates Problems

We’re used to read tabloids and newspapers about famous wealthy individuals that tell us all about their insurance law suits, divorce settlements and a bunch of other problems they deal with on a day-to-day basis.

However, what newspapers don’t tell us is that there are millions of wealthy individuals that live a quiet happy life. Besides, divorces and insurance law suits are as frequent amongst celebrities as they are amongst middle class citizens. The only difference is that the latter don’t make it to the front page of the New York Times.

Not having money creates problems too. Which problems would you rather have?

2. Having Money Will Alienate Me From My Family And Friends

Yes, it’s true. It will alienate you from your family and friends. Only it’s not your fault, and it’s not because you’re a different person-it’s because their problem with YOUR money.

They can be jealous or envious of your wealth, but it only shows what kind of people they are-it doesn’t change you or the way you should behave towards them-it’s just a mirror of their inner reality.

3. Having Money Will Make Me A Target To Be Taken Advantage Of

The more you have and the more visible you are-the more people will try to take from you. The bad news is that the only way not to worry about being a target to be taken advantage of is not having anything they can take.

4. Having Money Will Change Me Into A Bad Person

It won’t. Get over it.

5. Making Easy Money Is Wrong

It’s a common misconception, especially online, that making easy money is wrong. It’s not. In fact, making easy money is one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. Making easy money allows you to free up time and resources to do what YOU want, the things that make life worth living.

Depriving yourself from easy money is like not having a steak at a restaurant because you’re against animal slaughter. However, the stake is already there, the cow has already been slaughtered and it doesn’t matter whether you’re going to eat it or not-it’s dead anyway. There’s no point in crying over the poor beast, you can’t bring it to life, but you might as well enjoy the tasty steak while you’re there.

Beliefs can’t be erased, but they can be overwritten by new beliefs. It won’t happen overnight, but if you consciously work on it at least 30-60 minutes a day-you will transform your negative convictions in a matter of months.

To get rid of negative beliefs about money you first need to become aware and accept the fact that you have them. Next, accept the idea that you deserve the money and act upon your newly acquired beliefs.

Abundance Made Simple

It’s a little known fact that Napoleon Hill, the author of “Think and Grow Rich”, a person who’s considered the father of the self-improvement industry, ended up broke and was supported financially by W. Clement Stone throughout the last years of his life.

But let me assure you that it doesn’t mean that Hill lied when he wrote “Think and Grow Rich” as well as other bestselling self-help success and achievement oriented best sellers.

The reason why Hill ended up “on welfare” is because he either never practiced what he preached, was too busy researching success principles to find time to actually apply them or because he didn’t entirely understand abundance.

Abundance

Abundance is the opposite of scarcity. Abundance is when you have no such feeling as guilt or sense of insecurity regarding money and finance. But to better understand abundance we first need to learn to “ask for the doe” for our services.

Feeling guilty about charging money the less fortunate then ourselves for what we do is the number one reason why 90% of those who preach prosperity aren’t prosperous.

Guilt is a feeling I got accustomed to early on in my internet marketing career, ever since I had to name the price to my first client. Although the sum was as small as $10 a month-I still had an overwhelming feeling of guilt for actually asking him to pay.

I felt as if I am being unfair, as if I am taking away the last money he ever had, that he was going to spend on food for his starving children. That’s exactly what it felt like when I said the number out loud.

But as I discovered later, there isn’t anything wrong with charging money for what you do. Even more, there’s nothing wrong with making as much money as humanly possible by doing what you do. It’s not greed or excessive profits-it’s opportunism. It’s entrepreneurship. It’s the right thing to do!

You shouldn’t lose sleep over the fact that you’re selfishly “taking” money away from people. Understand that they are going to spend that money anyway. Regardless of whether they are going to pay you or the liquor store cashier-it’s only a matter of time before the money’s gone.

Isn’t it better if they spend their money with you, improving their life in some way, instead of spending it on cigarettes, alcohol, hookers or coca cola? (Note: Yes, Coca Cola is as bad (worth) then hookers, cigarettes and alcohol…)

Chiropractors Are People Too

A study has been done amongst failing chiropractors to find out the common reasons for failure. It has been discovered that more than 50% of the time, the reason why a chiropractor didn’t close the deal was because of his assistant “not trying too hard” to motivate people to schedule an appointment.

They’ve discovered that the reason why chiropractors’ assistants weren’t eager convincing people they’re making the right decision was guilt. Assistants felt guilty for encouraging people to pay more than seventeen hundred dollars for treatment because they felt their boss is already making too much money and that it’s wrong taking so much money from someone who has no insurance and has to pay the full treatment fee.

Get Rid Of Guilt

For you to be able to make any money online (and off), you have to be comfortable with charging the full price. There’s nothing wrong with asking the maximum amount of money possible for the goods you deliver.

And don’t let the famous “If I just work harder” fairy tale mislead you. It’s not about what you deserve or how good of a person you are. There are millions of deserving, generous, sweetest and most adorable people who are broke, were broke and will always be broke. But you don’t have to be …and quite frankly-you shouldn’t. It’s no fun!

Napoleon Hill’s failure to retire rich shouldn’t discourage you to practice what he’s teaching in all of his fantastic books, but it’s also important to feel that you deserve to receive everything the universe has to offer.

It’s important that you understand that the sum of all money does not equal to zero-there’s more money then we can spend. The reason why some are rich and others are poor is only because of their habits, thinking and actions-not because there’s a shortage of resources.

Key To Success In Life

Bill Gates, Abraham Lincoln, Isaac Newton, Michael Jordan and dozens of other mega successful people around the globe can back me up on the fact that there’s no success without failure.

Throughout the history of achievement there are hundreds of examples of how rejection precedes success and how painful failures precede extraordinary accomplishments.

I believe the reason why it happens is because a man is like a cup. Success, on the other hand, is water that fills the cup up.

Now imagine what happens if the cup isn’t big enough to fit all the water that’s pouring in …the cup overfills and the water is spilled all over the place.

We have to grow our cups before we can expect to fill them up with massive amounts of water. It’s impossible to receive more than we can handle; more than our cups can fit.

In a way, life is keeping us out of trouble by structuring barricades and obstacles. Who knows what can happen when we receive all the power with no real comprehension of what we attain?

And what about appreciation? How much more would one to be thankful for the gifts of fame and glory? The only person that can answer that is only the one that experienced this very phenomenon to the fullest. Here are a couple of historical examples:

Bill Gates. In the 70′s before starting out, he was a Harvard University dropout. The most ironic part is that, he started a software company (that was soon to become Microsoft) by purchasing the software technology from “someone” for only $US50 back then.

Ludwig van Beethoven. Before the start of his career, Beethoven’s music teacher once said of him “as a composer, he is hopeless”. And during his career, he lost his hearing …yet he managed to produce great music.

Abraham Lincoln, received no more than 5 years of formal education throughout his lifetime. When he grew up, he joined politics and had 12 major failures before he was elected the 16th President of the United States of America.

Walter Disney. Disney started his own business from his home garage and his very first cartoon production went bankrupt. During his first press conference, a newspaper editor ridiculed Walt Disney because he had no good ideas in film production.

Steven Spielberg. During his childhood, Spielberg dropped out of junior high school. He was persuaded to come back and was placed in a learning-disabled class. He only lasted a month and then dropped out of school forever.

Soichiro Honda was turned down by Toyota Motor Corporation during a job interview as “engineer” after World War Two. He continued to be jobless until his neighbors starting buying his “home-made scooters”. Subsequently, he set out on his own to start his own company.

Akio Morita, founder of giant electric household products, Sony Corporation, first product was an electric rice cooker, only sold 100 cookers (because it burned rice rather than cooking). Today, Sony is generating US$66 billion in revenue and ranked as the world’s 6th largest electronic and electrical company. See more famous failures here and here.

There’s no real, long lasting, meaningful success without at least 1 major fiasco.

Accept failure as a necessary step to great achievement. Perceive setbacks as your personal GPS advising you to take left at the next intersection.

And most important-never wallow. Always keep moving forward-learning, growing and expanding your character and widening your cup.

Being Rich Is Good

Being rich is good. Having millions of dollars is good. Living in a beach front mansion is good. Driving a Lamborghini is good.

Depending on what your current mindset is about money you will either agree with the above statements or really struggle with them.

For some silly reason our society has been conditioned to think that being rich is a bad thing. That being a millionaire somehow makes you a bad person.

It’s not our fault that we think this way because this type of thinking has been passed down through many generations.

If you ever want to become rich yourself, you need to understand that being rich is a good thing. That it’s OK being rich and to have a lot of money. You are allowed to be successful. More importantly-you deserve to be successful.

Many people struggle with being successful because they don’t believe they deserve to be. Let me ask you a question. If I gave you a check for $10 Million dollars right now would you feel like you deserved it?

Probably not, right?

We are conditioned to believe there is a certain limit that we deserve. There is a limit that we will feel comfortable with.

If I gave you 10 bucks it would probably be no big deal to you. But 10 million dollars is a lot of money and those negative, doubting, self sabotaging thoughts start to kick in and you start to say “oh no 10 million dollars is too much for ME”.

Well actually it’s not too much for you. In fact it might not be enough.

You can do a lot of great things with money. You can help a lot of people. You can literally change lives. You can put smiles on people’s faces all over the world and you can enjoy all the luxuries this world has to offer.

I have been to some of the greatest places in the world and had some of the greatest experiences in the world and none of it would have been possible if I was broke and wasted all my time complaining about how much my life sucks.

When you have money you can spread good on a much larger scale. You can touch so many more lives, you can reach out to so many more people. You can change the world for the better.

Money is not the be all and end all, no. It won’t make you happy. Which is why it’s important to realize that true happiness comes from within.

Most people put their happiness on hold and say I’ll be happy once I’m a millionaire. Well, happiness comes from the inside. You can’t look for external things to bring you happiness because you will always need more things.

Driving a Porsche might make you really happy but if you’re not happy on the inside once you get out of the car and sit on the couch you are feeling lousy again. So you look for another external source to make you happy.

However, if you are happy within and know that you don’t need any external things to make you happy you will breeze through life.

You won’t need to rely on the Porsche for your happiness it will just add to your already happy state. It will seem like things just keep getting better and better for you.

True wealth begins from within, once you realize that money is a good thing and it’s perfectly OK to want to have lots of it you will unlock your true potential and you will soar to unbelievable heights and feel great while doing it.

Footballer’s Way To Becoming Internet Marketing Mega Superstar

It’s no secret that experts consider Christiano Ronaldo to be the best footballer on the planet. It’s also no secret that Christiano did not become a mega superstar over night.

Ronaldo began his career as a youth player in a small Madeira team and he had an early youngster move to Sporting Clube de Portugal. As a winger in Sporting, he was spotted by Manchester United manager sir Alex Ferguson who signed him for £12.24 million in 2003.

Although in 2004 Ronaldo won the FA Cup, his first Man Utd club honor, he failed. That season Manchester neither won the Premier League nor qualified for UEFA Final 16 in the EUFA Champions League.

It was a disaster. Being a fan of Man Utd since the age of 9, partially, I blame Ronaldo’s horrible performance that season.

I distinctly remember Man Utd’s 6^th and final game in the UEFA group stage against S.L. Benfica when Manchester drew and for the first time in 36 years failed to qualify for Europe’s best 16.

Christiano’s horrible performance that season reminds me of similar experiences we undergo as internet marketers.

I am a big fan of failure. I see failure as necessary experiences we must undergo in order to grow and learn new, important and profitable lessons. Often, we learn our most important life lessons only after or during our most horrid failures.

Man Utd’s failure to qualify for Europe’s final 16 was Ronaldo’s wake up call to action. I believe that Ronaldo understood that he became too high minded too early in his career.

Next season unveiled a different Christiano. Ronaldo matured into a different kind of footballer. During the summer break he worked hard and it showed early in the season.

In 2005 Red Devils claimed the Premier League and UEFA Champions League. Ronaldo was to blame and nobody could deny that. Since 2005 Ronaldo worked and developed to become what he is today-a $132 million dollar player.

If you’ve experienced hard failures during your internet marketing career, be sure that you’re on the right path.

Failure is life trying to tell you that you’re doing something wrong. It’s trying to redirect you in the direction of success. If When you fail, don’t be sad or angry, simply analyze what you’ve done, try to figure out what’s wrong and fix it.

If more work is needed-do it. If re-design is needed-do it. If admitting that you were wrong and changing course is needed-do it. Do whatever it takes! That’s how the footballers do it and you should too!

Do Affirmations Work and How To Use Them In Your Life

Affirmations do work, but only if you know how to use them. In this post I want to introduce you to a term “power affirmation” and show you how to create powerful affirmations that work!

By definition, an affirmation is a statement repeated time and again either verbally or mentally-or written down. The words of the affirmation statement – in themselves -when spoken, thought of, or written without a pictorial (visualized) or emotional connection-make a very weak affirmation.

Affirmations, when worded correctly-and when emotionally charged – are able to tap into the unlimited creative power of your subconscious mind, and manifest your desires.

Affirmations are not all created equal. Some are, of course, better than others. There are power affirmations that have been proven again and again to work – and I’ll reveal some of them in a moment.

When you examine the structure of these power affirmations, you, too, can learn how to create your own powerful affirmations for your specific purposes.

Consider the following:

1. “I am what I choose to be.”;

2. “All my needs are met instantaneously.” ;

3. “I love and accept myself exactly as I am.”

4. “_____________ comes to me easily and effortlessly.” (Fill in the blank with what you desire.)

5. “I am now perfectly healthy in body, mind and spirit.”

6. “I now create my wonderful, ideal life.”

What do the above power affirmations have in common?

They’re stated in the present tense.

An affirmation is more effective when stated in the present tense. For example; “I now have a wonderful job.” Avoid affirming something in the future tense, e.g. “I am going to have a wonderful job” or the results will always be waiting to happen.

They express a positive statement.

Affirmations need to be stated in the most positive terms possible. Avoid negative statements. Affirm what you do want, rather than what you don’t want. For example: “I am no longer sick.” This is a negative statement. Instead, affirm: “I am now perfectly healthy in body, mind and spirit.” This statement is much more powerful as it is positive and reinforces your desired goal and doesn’t confuse your subconscious mind with the mention of the undesirable condition.

They’re short and specific.

Short affirmations are easy to say, and have a far greater impact at the subconscious level than those which are long and wordy. Keeping them specific and to the point adds power as the idea is uncluttered by extraneous elements.

The mechanics that make affirmations powerful are:

Repetition-The importance of repetition cannot be overemphasized. It imprints the affirmation into your subconscious mind.
Emotions-Get involved, be passionate, and use your emotions. Think carefully about the meaning of the words as you repeat them rather than just writing, typing or saying them.
Persistence-Practicing affirmations with persistence achieves results much sooner than practicing them periodically. Successive sessions will have a compounding effect.
Belief-You don’t necessarily have to believe your affirmation initially, in order for it to work. Belief will grow with your forthcoming successes. What you do need is the ability to *feel* what it would be like when the desire you’re affirming is fulfilled, or your need met. Every time that you have a need — and that need is met — a certain “feeling” is produced in you. You need to evoke that same feeling when you state your affirmation. In other words, you need to feel with every fiber of your being that what you desire has already happened. Without this feeling, your affirmation is powerless.
Impress Yourself-Personalize your affirmations. They must *resonate* with you — feel right for you. The stronger your connection with the affirmation, the deeper the impression it makes on your mind, and the sooner you will experience positive results.

So there you have it – the simple formula for creating affirmations that work. Based on the above, you can easily create your own affirmations to manifest any desire or need you have in life.

Twitter Vs Email: Syndication Fight Of The Century?

Twitter, undoubtedly (real word-I checked), has become the most talked about social network on the planet.

Twitter’s growing by the second and nearly doubles in size every week …but does it have the guts to beat email?

Email has been the most popular way of syndicating content for the past 15 years…

Many have tried to conquer it, but even RSS feeds didn’t make it obsolete-Email has proved to be the best way of electronic communication and plans on sticking to that title for many years to come…

But ever since Twitter has stepped onto the scene, many internet marketers have realized how powerful it really is and started using it with, and sometimes instead, email.

IM community got hooked on Social Media and many experts now claim that Email marketing is dead…

…but is it?

I’ve done some research to compare Twitter vs Email to find out which one to use more of, which one is the most effective and maybe even how you can combine both to bring your online business to the next level.

Twitter VS Email

So, how do we go about comparing Twitter vs Email?

I came up with several criteria, which I believe to be the most relevant to internet marketing and stacked them up against each other:

	Twitter	Email
*Deliverability*	100%	95%
*Format*	SMS-like message+link	HTML/Plain
*Size*	140 characters	No limit
*Response*	~1-1.5%	30% on average
*Speed*	Instant	Instant
*Spam*	None	A lot

As you can see from the comparison above-on paper Email beats Twitter, however, there are some things I don’t mention in the comparison chart:

Twitter has 100% deliverability while email can be blocked by spam filters, if you don’t pay attention to the way you craft your subject lines.
While email doesn’t limit the number of characters you can use, Twitter limits you to 140 characters to get your message across. 140 characters doesn’t seem like much space to work with, but if you learn to use Twitter effectively-often it is enough to spark interest and to get people to visit your website.
Twitter response rates seem to be much smaller then Email’s, but you have to consider one important fact here: If you have more than 1000 followers on Twitter and you get ~1% response rate-then you get approx. 100 people to visit your site immediately. Email, on the other hand, even if opened, doesn’t guarantee that your links will get clicked on…
Your tweets are being syndicated in real time, while your emails can be held up in your client’s queue prior to going out-something you can’t control…
Your tweets will never get blocked by Spam filters, unlike emails that often do-which costs you money and ruins communication with your clients.

Bottom Line

Twitter is real-time, has 100% deliverability and never gets blocked by spam filters …However this doesn’t mean that Email should become obsolete.

Email is still a much greater way to communicate with your clients on a personal level, getting your messages across and getting them subscribed to your newsletter.

So, my recommendation to you is this:

Use your Twitter to get people sign up for your newsletter or blog and use email to form a personal, warm and intimate relationship with your clients which is much more important then getting your links clicked on!
